Many lecturers and key-note speakers contribute...

The 3rd International Conference on Bowen's Theory is Open to Everyone. Knowledge of the theory is not required. The offering will give beginners as well as already knowledgeable interesting lectures. The conference has attracted lecturers from all over the world and from many different disciplines. It is a great pleasure to be able to offer such an extensive program. Until the June 2020 conference, we will continuously present the various lecturers.

Anxious Organizations and Their Lack of Sustainability

Manager and CEO for 20 years before deciding to study Management and Organizational Leadership at Springfield College, Mass. where she received a Master of Science and was a part time adjunct professor for two year there. The past 15 years management consulting and several board positions. Trains and consults with Bowen theory after having participated in the Post Graduate Training Program of the Bowen Center. Recently translated the first Bowen Theory literature to Swedish.

"An organization’s success or failure to implement and work with a sustainable decision making process appears to be closely connected to its level of chronic anxiety. Anxious organizations with anxious leaders tend to prefer short term emotional solutions even if these are counter effective to the long term rational goal of sustainability.”

"Bowen theory hypothesizes that the emotional fusion between parents and children is managed with varying degrees of distance or emotional cutoff, which influences the functioning of the next generation. In addition, Bowen theory hypothesizes that viable emotional contact with past generations contributes to a “more orderly and asymptomatic life process in both generations (Bowen)."
